Our Admin Council 

• envisions, plans, implements, and annually evaluates the ministry of the congregation;
• oversees the administration and ministry of the congregation;
• determines God’s call to the congregation for ministry that is transformative; and
• initiates planning, establishes goals, implements action plans, and evaluates effectiveness for congregational ministries of nurture, outreach, witness, and administration.

Our Finance Ministry

• annually compiles a budget for supporting the mission and vision of the local church and submits the budget to the church leadership team for review and adoption; recommends any changes to the approved annual budget to the church leadership team;
• is responsible for developing and carrying out plans to raise enough income to support the budget that has been approved; and 
• approves payments for expenditures.

Christian Education at LPUMC encompasses the learning groups, relationships, and experiences that educate, inspire, and transform people into God’s image so that they are effective and productive Christian disciples in the church and marketplace. The Virginia Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church provides various opportunities for spiritual development and faith formation through out the year. At Laurel Park we offer Sunday Church School each week. And during the year we offer topical Bible Studies that include but are not limited to: Prayer, Servant Leadership, Advent Study, Lenten Study, and specific studies of books or letters in the Bible. Additionally, we periodically have fellowship meals and special activities to discuss topics of interest and share our faith stories.

Our Communications and Media Ministry creates and manages the audio/visual, social media accounts/content, and print media correspondence for LPUMC. 

Our Music Ministry supports the weekly worship services at LPUMC--choir, soloists, and musical instrumentation--as needed. 

Our Staff/Pastor-Parish Relations Committee works with the lead pastor and other staff to fulfill legal and ethical responsibilities related to staff. 

Our Trustee Ministry functions as the Christian stewards of property God has entrusted to LPUMC. This includes supervising and maintaining both the physical property of this congregation and gifts made to the congregation so that the ministries of this congregation can be effective and all legal requirements related to the property are satisfied.

The United Women in Faith, formerly known at the United Methodist Women, is organized for mission and serves the local church, the community, and the world through its mission education, advocacy, and direct service through the Board of Global Ministries.
